How many to-dos, responsibilities, relationships...are you juggling?
I don’t want this frantic feeling of trying to keep it all together but fearing that at any moment it will all come tumbling down. Do you? It’s urgent for us to slow down. For our bodies and our souls. We can do this. We need to for our physical, mental, and spiritual health. Jesus promises us the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. But if we’re scrolling or speeding so quickly through our lives, it’s hard to notice any of that richness or fullness, let alone make room for it or tap into it. When we’re running full speed ahead, we don’t feel like we can muster any patience or self-control, and we struggle to recall when we last felt anything resembling peace. We’re zooming around so fast we don’t have time to accept lovely invitations from God to connect with Him through prayer, reading our Bibles, being present, and celebrating the good stuff. But I want to. Do you? Are you ready to try? |
Jesus cares about your mental health. Shouldn't you, too?Jesus loves you. He wants you to bring Him your worries, fears, and doubts. Even when they seem to take over. Even when they won’t go away. Even when you struggle with mental health.
“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full,” Jesus informs us (John 10:10). Yet sometimes our mental health struggles hinder us from living this full life. Jesus wants better for us. More. Jesus is a healer. Jesus healed all the sick (Mt 8:16), all who were ill (Mt 4:24), and all who touched his cloak (Mk 6:56). These recounts of Jesus’ healings include healing to anyone and everyone with any kind of ailment. Today, Jesus still restores broken bodies, hearts, and minds. He loves you. Learn how to bridge the space between struggles and the abundance Jesus offers. Jesus cares so much about your mental health. Shouldn't you, too? |
Restore My SoulLaura's newest book, Restore My Soul dives into the Psalms and uses modern day stories to illustrate how relevant they are today. Restore My Soul reminds readers that God loves, protects, and provides for us in all our emotions—the beautiful, wonderful moments and the gut-wrenching, terrifying moments. He never leaves us.
The psalmists knew this, and they took everything to God—yes, their praise and rejoicing, but also their anger and sorrow. God is faithful in everything we face and feel. This truth can truly restore our souls. |
How Sweet the SoundHymns will forever be God's music packed with truth, redemption, and joy, no matter how the times or culture change. There is a reason they still speak to us, generation after generation. How Sweet the Sound marries the past with the present by showing how hymns unite, restore, and re-center God’s children. Immerse yourself in these lyrics. Hum the melodies from memory. And let these heavenly anthems about our eternal, unchanging God drown out the distractions of the world. |
In our world obsessed with change, this book helps us engage and anchor in the never-ending song to our King of Kings. Hymns are the heart’s cry of God’s people for generations. Laura Smith helps them become new songs we sing to the Lord. - Andi Rozier, Vertical Worship

If I had to tell you what I would want in a book that focuses on 30 beloved hymns, How Sweet The Sound is exactly it. But I wouldn’t have been able to define it so specifically until after reading through this new release by Laura L. Smith. |
